OUR MINISTRIES
Emmanuel Baptist Church is an active church that believes in the importance of serving as Jesus served. Jesus said in Matthew 20:28 "Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many" . Jesus was a willing servant; for us to be Christ-Like we must also be willing to serve. We at Emmanuel Baptist Church are always looking for ways to get out and serve our community!
Men's Ministry
Our culture is in a deep decline and at the heart of the issue is the home. We've all heard before: So goes the home, So goes the church, So goes the community, and So goes the nation. The home is stregthened and grown around the man. At Emmanuel we desire to disciple the men in our church to grow stronger in the Lord and not become bound up with the things of this world. Mark 3:27: "No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house".
Our Men's Prayer Meeting is held on the 1st Saturday of each month, where we gather to fellowship and pray for the strength of the men in our church.
Young at Heart Club
The Young at Heart Club is comprised of members and guest attending Emmanuel Baptist Church that are at least 50 years young.
The group meets monthly and rotates between going out to eat at one of our local resturants, or having "themed" meals in our very own Fellowship Hall with special speakers or programs during our friendly get-togethers.
Some of the events we've had this past year range from "Souper-Saturday" "St.Patricks Day Pot 'O Lunch" and a "Hawaiian Luau". We've also eaten out at O'Charley's, Blue Bay amd Classic Buffet in Denton
At each event we have "themed" type games, door prizes, excellent food, a speaker with plenty fellowship and fun. A donation is usually taken up to help fund future events.
The Young At Heart Meets each month on the 3rd Saturday
Sunday School
Pairs and Spares (Adult)
Our "Pairs And Spares" Sunday School class is for everyone to come in and feel welcome. Whether you are a couple (pair) or you just came alone (spare) you are welcome to particapte in our class! We offer a book by book bible study that enjoys digging into God's word to enhace our walk with Christ!
Youth (6th-12th Grade)
Our Youth Sunday School class is set-up to allow our youth an opportunity to come together and study God's Word with their peers. We tackle everyday issues with biblical solutions. We believe that our youth have a great responsiblity to carry the Gospel into the next generation and it's our goal to equip them to be able to do so.
